Investors impatiently waiting for prices to buy wind power

Currently the country has three wind power projects in operation with a total power generation capacity of 54 MW wind power project consists of Binh Thanh, Phu Quy wind power project in Binh Thuan Bac Lieu wind power projects. The remaining 45 projects were registered investors with a total capacity of 4,822 MW, but not yet implemented.

Bui Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Wind Power Association, has long had a policy of supporting wind power by decision 37/2011 / QD-TTg of the Government, which has set the price for electricity purchased grid connected wind equivalent of 7.8 cents (cents) / kWh and a number of other supporting policies, but this was not enough to attract investors.

Recently Association Binh Thuan wind power has asked the government and relevant departments should provide a roadmap to purchase wind power increased from 7.8 cents / kWh at present to 10 cents / kWh in 2015 and to 12 cents / kWh in 2017.

Talking to Saigon Times Online today, Pham Trong fact, the Department of Energy under its Renewable Energy, said it expected in March, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will review the government approved a plan to adjust increased wind power instead of being applied in Decision 37/2011 / QD-TTg.

However, while waiting for the Government to consider wind power purchase price adjustment, some local authorities are also considering sanctions against investors registered wind power project but not implemented out.Provincial leaders have the potential of wind power as Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan recently called investors to urge, even slow recovery project implementation.

Recent example of Ninh Thuan provincial government has withdrawn wind power projects in Ninh Phuoc district Phuoc Dan investors by slow deployment. This is wind power projects with a capacity of 50 MW, totaling nearly 1,300 billion is provincial certification for investors in late 2008, but so far no silent on the matter.

But according to Mr Bui Van Thinh Wind Power Association Binh Thuan, Binh Thuan provincial government recently invited investors to wind power projects registered to urge, warn recovery projects if investors later deploy.
